Standing at 5199 meters above sea level, Mt Kenya is the second highest mountain in Africa and in the eyes of African Habitat Explorer, the most scenic and beautiful mountain in Africa. If you want an adventurous trek, Mt Kenya awaits you with its different habitat zones; the forest zone, bamboo habitat, the moorlands and alpine make a beautiful experience. Its the ultimate climber's mountain!

The highest peak of the mountain are Batian (5199m 17,057ft) and Nelion (5,188m, 17,021ft). This Two peaks are technical ascents, Point Nelion (4,985m,16,355ft) is the point you can climb without the technical equipment.

 
Mount Kenya is the source of the name of the Republic of Kenya. Its 150km from Nairobi and just South of the equator.
